Privacy Policy

Be Savage ("Be Savage", "we", "our") is an action-sports trick coaching app: you film a trick attempt, our AI analyzes the rotation from the video, and you track your progress over time. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.

By using Be Savage you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Account information

You can use Be Savage anonymously — we create a private account for you with a Firebase Authentication user ID, with no personal details required. If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifiers Apple provides: a stable user ID and, only if you allow it, your name and an email address (which may be Apple's private relay address). We use this to keep your library, plan, and attempts synced across your devices.

1.2 Content you create

• Trick attempt videos you record and upload for analysis.
• Your plan and progress — programs you add, exercises you mark done, and your weekly goal.
• Comments you post and, if you publish as a coach, the programs you author.
• Safety actions — reports you file and users you block.

1.3 Video & AI analysis data

When you ask for an analysis, your uploaded clip is processed on our cloud infrastructure (Google Firebase and Google Cloud, including Google's AI models) to produce pose-derived measurements — peak spin, flip and twist degrees, in-frame coverage — and written coaching feedback. The analysis is generated automatically; no human reviews your clip as part of it. Your attempt videos are private to your account by default and are not made public.

1.4 Usage & diagnostics

• Analytics: we log product events (e.g. "attempt uploaded", "analysis completed") through Firebase Analytics to understand how features are used. These events carry identifiers and counts only — never the free text or video content you create.
• Crash & error reporting: via Firebase Crashlytics, including your user ID, a per-launch session ID, app version, device model, and OS version, so we can diagnose and fix problems. A mirror of warning/error logs is retained for up to 30 days and then automatically deleted.

1.5 Subscriptions

Savage Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple. Apple processes your payment — we never see your payment details. We read your subscription status from Apple to unlock Pro features, and we keep a count of how many AI analyses you've used to enforce the free monthly allowance.

1.6 Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store a Firebase Cloud Messaging device token to tell you when your analysis is ready or someone comments on your work. Practice reminders are scheduled locally on your device and are not sent to our servers.

2. How we use your information

• Provide the core service — store your attempts, run AI analysis, and sync your plan across devices.
• Show your progress over time in the Trick Lab.
• Send the notifications you opt into.
• Enforce subscription and free-tier limits.
• Keep the community safe (reports and blocks).
• Diagnose crashes and improve the app.

3. How your information is shared

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that operate the app:

• Google Firebase & Google Cloud — authentication, database, file storage, AI analysis, crash reporting, analytics, and push delivery. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple — Sign in with Apple and subscription billing. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or user safety, or in connection with a merger or acquisition (you would be notified).

4. Data storage & security

Your data is stored with Google Firebase, encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Each account's data is isolated and accessible only to that authenticated account, enforced by server-side security rules. Some data is cached locally on your device, protected by iOS device encryption.

5. Your rights & choices

• Access & edit: view and manage your attempts, plan, and comments in the app.
• Block & report: block any user or report content from the community screens.
• Delete your account: Settings → Account → Delete Account removes your attempts, enrollments, blocks, and account record. This is permanent.
• Notifications: manage push and reminder permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

6. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your content is removed from our active systems; diagnostic logs expire automatically within 30 days. Some records may be retained briefly where required for legal or security purposes.

7. Children's privacy

Be Savage is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International transfers

Your data may be processed in any country where Google Firebase and Google Cloud operate data centers. By using Be Savage you consent to these transfers, which may be to countries with different data protection laws than your own.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
